BOOK WEEK 2016!!!

This week brought more excitement for students as they got many opportunities to show their love for books. The week started with a Mystery Reader in the classroom. A parent volunteered and read a book in her own Italian language but students could infer easily. Followed by it; we watched few trailers of the movie filmed on the book ” James and the Giant Peach”.

Day 2 brought more life to the celebrations when students got more time for the ‘DEAR TIME’. Then they visited Grade 6 (MYP) where they got buddied with their seniors and had an exchange of stories/reviews/ideas about their books. After that,students headed to the auditorium where they were lucky enough to have a session with a renowned author from Doha-Qatar and that inspired many to become writers in future. Students also had a chance to have their wackiest photo with their favourite book in the library.

Last day of the book week concluded with a wonderful parade.All the students and teachers were dressed up as their favourite characters.Students were laughing, smiling and dancing with joy and pride and introduced themselves to the judges. The winners were declared in the Book week assembly. Overall, it was truly a happening week and students developed more passion for the books as a whole.
